Generation image Seedream 5.0 Lite

Seedream 5.0 Lite is ByteDance's image generation model, served on FlyAIgh through the Doubao API surface. It costs 3 credits per image and is the most versatile image model on FlyAIgh when it comes to aspect ratios — seven options including the ultrawide 21:9 and ultratall 9:21 ratios that most other models don't expose.

The 21:9 / 9:21 capability is the standout feature. For cinematic banner work, website hero images, vertical scroll experiences and any context where you need a more extreme ratio than the standard 16:9, Seedream is often the only option that doesn't require post-crop. Combined with output resolutions of 2K (default) or 3K, it's a strong fit for above-the-fold web imagery.

Text-to-image is the only supported mode — no image-to-image editing or reference workflow. If you need to edit an existing image, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro or WAN 2.7 Pro are the i2i-capable options.

Seedream is particularly strong at photorealism (faces, natural lighting, materials), Asian aesthetics and balanced composition. It is weaker than Midjourney v7 for distinctive artistic style and weaker than GPT Image 2 for in-image text rendering. Pick Seedream when aspect-ratio flexibility and photorealism matter, and you don't need editing capability.
